Reviewbird for Shopify

Branding, email sender, and languages for Shopify

Add your logo and colors, verify a custom email sender, and choose customer and dashboard languages.

Use your logo and colors to make Reviewbird emails and review pages look like part of your store. Open Reviewbird in Shopify admin, select Settings, then choose Branding under Store.

Choose either method in the Logo section:

  • Select Upload and choose an image under 5 MB.
  • Select URL, paste a direct HTTP or HTTPS link to the image, and select Save.

The logo appears in customer emails and branded review pages. Use Remove beside Current logo if you want to remove it.

A logo URL must point to the image itself, not a page containing the image. If the logo does not load, download the image and use Upload instead.

Choose your colors and email design

  1. Set Primary color with the color picker or enter a six-digit color code, such as #007cba.
  2. Select Save branding.
  3. In Email design, add an optional Tagline below the logo, up to 100 characters.
  4. Choose the email Background color and Font.
  5. Use Preview to check a Review request or Review published email.
  6. Select Save email design.

The primary color is used for widget buttons, email buttons, and showcase accents. Rating stars have a separate color setting in Settings > Display Widget.

Email design applies to customer emails sent by Reviewbird, including requests and reminders. Edit their words and timing in Collect. Other customer messages are under Settings > Customer Notifications. If Klaviyo sends your request emails, edit their design in Klaviyo.

Send from your own email address

Custom Sender is available on Plus and Everything. It lets Reviewbird use an address on your domain instead of the default Reviewbird sender.

  1. Open Settings > Custom Sender.
  2. Enter your Email address and an optional Reply-to address your team checks.
  3. Select Add email address. This sends a confirmation email to the sender address.
  4. Follow the confirmation link, or add the DNS Records shown on the page through your domain's DNS provider.
  5. Return to Custom Sender and select Check verification.
  6. Confirm that Ready to send shows Yes.

Either email confirmation or DNS verification makes the sender ready. Adding the supplied DNS records also verifies the domain. Copy the record type, name, and value exactly as displayed.

Once the sender is ready, you can use Send Test Email to send a test to your own inbox. Check the sender and reply address before turning on your request emails.

If verification is pending, confirm that you used the latest confirmation email and that the DNS records are saved at the provider hosting your domain's DNS. Use Resend confirmation if you need another email.

Choose customer languages

Open Reviewbird's main Settings tab, then choose Settings under the Store heading. Find the Language section.

  1. Choose a Default language.
  2. On Plus or Everything, choose additional Enabled languages for the widget and customer emails.
  3. Select Enable automatic review translation if you want reviews translated into those languages.
  4. Select Save general settings.

Starter supports one customer language. Plus and Everything support multiple languages and automatic review translation. The default language remains included in your enabled languages.

New languages and newly enabled review translation are processed in the background. Allow time for translations to finish before checking the storefront. Shopify order information supplies the customer locale used for order-related emails.

These settings control Reviewbird's widget, email, and review content. Manage the rest of your storefront's language settings in Shopify.

Choose the dashboard language

On the same settings page, find Admin Language, choose Dashboard language, then select Save general settings.

This changes the Reviewbird dashboard language separately from the languages available to customers. You can manage the app in one language while collecting and displaying reviews in others.

Troubleshooting

Why do the email preview and storefront look different?

Branding controls shared colors and email design. The display widget has its own settings for details such as rating stars, and your Shopify theme controls the surrounding page. Check the surface you are editing and save its settings before refreshing the preview.

Why can I only select one customer language?

Check Settings > Plan. Multiple customer languages and automatic review translation require Plus or Everything. See Shopify plans and billing.

Does changing the dashboard language translate reviews?

No. Use Language > Enable automatic review translation for review content. Dashboard language changes the app interface.
