Reviewbird for Shopify

Shopify plans, email allowances, and billing

Check your Shopify plan, understand review request and customer email limits, and manage plan changes and spending caps.

Open Settings > Plan in Reviewbird to see your current plan, subscription status, and usage. Paid Shopify subscriptions are approved through Shopify and billed every 30 days. New subscriptions do not offer an annual billing option.

Use the prices and terms shown in the app and Shopify's approval screen. The WooCommerce pricing page is for a different version of Reviewbird.

Check your allowances

Plan Review request allowance
Starter 100 review requests per calendar month.
Plus 1,500 review requests per calendar month.
Everything Unlimited review requests, with a separate allowance and spending limit for customer emails.

The Usage section shows Review requests this month for plans with a request limit. A calendar month and a 30-day billing period are different windows.

Some eligible stores keep a free Starter plan from their original installation offer. This is not a promise that every new installation has free Starter. Settings > Plan shows whether your store has that access.

Understand Everything customer email usage

Everything includes 10,000 customer emails per 30-day billing period. Review requests, reminders, and other customer emails count toward this allowance.

After the included allowance, extra emails cost $1.50 per 1,000, up to the spending limit approved in Shopify. The initial extra-email spending limit is $50. Check Customer email usage for sent emails, extra email charges, the approved spending limit, and the allowance reset date.

Sending pauses when the allowance and approved spending limit are exhausted. Unlimited review requests do not remove this email limit.

During a trial

The trial has a limit of 10,000 customer emails. Reviewbird does not charge for extra emails during the trial; sending pauses at the trial limit.

Trial availability and dates depend on your store. Check the offer and Trial ends date in the app before approving a plan.

Increase the extra-email spending limit

  1. Open Settings > Plan.
  2. Under Customer email usage, enter the New extra-email spending limit (USD).
  3. Select Approve higher limit in Shopify.
  4. Read and approve the new limit in Shopify.
  5. Return to Reviewbird and check the status.

A higher limit takes effect after Shopify approves it. Entering a number in Reviewbird alone does not raise the limit.

Choose or change a plan

  1. Open Settings > Plan.
  2. Review the plan features, allowances, and price.
  3. Select Choose plan, Start free trial, or Switch Plan, depending on the choices shown.
  4. Review and approve the subscription in Shopify.
  5. Return to Reviewbird and confirm the current plan.

If a change is pending, select Continue plan change to return to Shopify. Your current plan stays active until you approve the replacement. Customer emails pause while a change from Everything is waiting for approval; finish or decline the change in Shopify to resume sending.

Cancel a paid subscription

On the current plan card, select Cancel subscription, or Switch to free Starter if your store has that option. Read the confirmation before completing it.

If your store has free Starter access, it returns to Starter after cancellation. Otherwise, it has no active plan until you choose another. Usage charges already incurred still apply.

Canceling a subscription and uninstalling the app are separate actions. Before removing the app, read Store access and uninstalling and export the reviews you need.

FAQ

Why did emails stop when my request allowance says unlimited?

Check Customer email usage. Everything has an email allowance and an approved spending limit even though the number of review requests is unlimited. Also check for a pending plan change or a trial limit.

Why is a feature locked?

Check the feature's plan message and your current subscription in Settings > Plan. A plan selection that is still waiting for Shopify approval has not activated the new access.

Does reinstalling reactivate my paid subscription?

No. Uninstalling cancels the Shopify subscription. After reinstalling, check Settings > Plan and approve a new paid subscription if needed.
