WHAT’S GOING ON
Read the changelog, not the brochure
Yotpo’s website still lists WooCommerce as a supported platform. The plugin tells a different story: its last update shipped in December 2024, its install base is a few thousand stores, and its support forum includes a thread asking, in as many words, whether the plugin has been abandoned.
Zoom out and the direction is hard to miss. In 2025, Yotpo discontinued its Subscriptions product, then its Email & SMS products, cutting roughly a third of its staff and narrowing its focus to reviews and loyalty. Its loyalty product does not natively support WooCommerce at all.
None of that makes Yotpo a bad company. It makes WooCommerce a rounding error in its roadmap. After watching Judge.me leave WooCommerce outright, merchants have learned to read the signals early — and to pick a platform that lets you export your reviews at any time, so no roadmap change can strand them.

To be fair to Yotpo: for large brands on Shopify that need retail syndication, loyalty, and enterprise workflows, it remains a serious platform. This comparison is about running product reviews on WooCommerce — where the attention clearly is not.

In Yotpo, go to Reviews, then Moderation, and choose Export to CSV. The file arrives by email with your reviews, ratings, and photo and video URLs — available on every plan.

Install and connect
Install the Reviewbird plugin, create your account, and authorize the connection. Nothing sends by surprise: review request emails stay off until you turn them on.
STEP 03
Import your reviews
Upload your Yotpo CSV. Reviewbird validates the file, matches reviews to your products, and flags rows that need attention. Enable the widget and your social proof is back.

Can I import my Yotpo reviews into Reviewbird?
Yes. Export your reviews from Yotpo as a CSV — available on every Yotpo plan, with photo and video URLs included — and bring the file into Reviewbird’s CSV importer. Note that Yotpo’s export does not include Q&A content, so questions and answers cannot make the trip.
Is Yotpo shutting down?
No. Yotpo discontinued its Subscriptions product in May 2025 and its Email & SMS products at the end of 2025, refocusing on reviews and loyalty. The Reviews product continues — but its WooCommerce plugin has not been updated since December 2024, which is why many WooCommerce merchants are evaluating alternatives.
Will my star ratings survive the move?
Reviewbird adds JSON-LD review schema and pre-rendered review content to your product pages, which is what Google needs to show star ratings in organic results. The Google Product Ratings XML feed for Shopping is available on Plus and Everything plans. Google applies its own eligibility rules and timing.
