SWITCHING FROM STAMPED.IO

Stamped closed its WordPress plugin. Permanently.

That’s wordpress.org’s wording, not ours. Reviewbird is a hosted review platform built for WooCommerce — bring your Stamped reviews with you.

30-day free trial • Stamped CSV import • Setup takes about 10 minutes

WHAT HAPPENED

Stamped quietly finished leaving WooCommerce

In November 2025, Stamped’s WordPress plugin was closed on wordpress.org — at the author’s own request, marked permanent. It wasn’t sudden: the plugin’s last significant update shipped in August 2023, and Stamped support had already told merchants it would not be receiving updates going forward.

Stamped’s pricing page now describes the product as built for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants. Meanwhile, its help docs still walk WooCommerce users through installing a plugin that can no longer be downloaded.

WooCommerce merchants have seen this movie before — Judge.me played it with a firm end date; Stamped is playing it in slow motion. Either way, the answer is the same: a review platform that treats WooCommerce as its whole business, and lets you export everything whenever you want.

The short version

  • Stamped’s WordPress plugin was closed on wordpress.org in November 2025, permanently, at the author’s request
  • Its last significant update shipped in August 2023, tested up to WordPress 6.1
  • Stamped’s pricing page describes it as built for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants
  • The free plan and free trial were phased out in 2025

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR STORE

What Staying on Stamped Costs a WooCommerce Store

Stamped is a capable UGC suite — on Shopify. On WooCommerce, you’re running an integration the vendor has already walked away from.

A plugin you can’t reinstall

The wordpress.org listing is closed. A staging rebuild, a fresh install, or a second store — and there is nothing left to download.

Frozen in 2023

The final version was tested up to WordPress 6.1. Every WordPress and WooCommerce release since ships without a compatibility pass from Stamped.

Performance complaints, no replies

Public wordpress.org threads report checkout slowdowns and Core Web Vitals damage with the plugin active — and sit unanswered by the vendor.

Priced for Shopify budgets

No free plan or trial since 2025, and the Google Shopping product ratings feed sits on the $199-per-month Business plan.

Your media, behind the desk

Self-serve exports cover review text — not your customers’ photos and videos. A complete export means emailing Stamped support and waiting.

Leave while it’s easy

Your dashboard still works today. Export now, request your media, and land on a platform that includes export on every paid plan — so this never happens again.

To be fair to Stamped: on Shopify it remains a well-rated, full-featured UGC suite. This comparison is about WooCommerce, where the integration has been closed for good.

MIGRATION

Switch in Three Steps

Most merchants are fully set up in about 10 minutes. Then turn on automated review requests so the collection engine keeps running.

STEP 01

Export from Stamped

Export your reviews from the Stamped dashboard — larger exports arrive by email. For your customers’ photos and videos, request a full export from Stamped support while you still have access.

STEP 02

Install and connect

Install the Reviewbird plugin, create your account, and authorize the connection. Nothing sends by surprise: review request emails stay off until you turn them on.

STEP 03

Import your reviews

Upload your Stamped CSV. Reviewbird validates the file, matches reviews to your products, and flags rows that need attention. Enable the widget and your social proof is back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import my Stamped reviews into Reviewbird?

Yes. Export your reviews from Stamped and bring the CSV into Reviewbird’s importer. Stamped’s self-serve export covers review text — for photos and videos, request a complete export from Stamped support first, and Reviewbird will bring your media across via the URLs in the file.

Does Stamped still work on WooCommerce?

Existing installs keep running for now, but the plugin was closed on wordpress.org in November 2025 at the author’s request, its last significant update was in 2023, and Stamped support has said it will not receive further updates. It cannot be downloaded again, so a rebuild or new store has no supported path.

Will my star ratings survive the move?

Reviewbird adds JSON-LD review schema and pre-rendered review content to your product pages, which is what Google needs to show star ratings in organic results. The Google Product Ratings XML feed for Shopping is available on Plus and Everything plans. Google applies its own eligibility rules and timing.

How do I know Reviewbird will stay committed to WooCommerce?

Fair question after the year WooCommerce merchants just had. WooCommerce is where our customers and our business live. Reviewbird is built by developers who have shipped WooCommerce products for years. And you are never locked in: review export is included on every paid plan, so your reviews stay yours.

Move Before the Integration Breaks for Good

Import your Stamped reviews, reconnect your rich snippets, and put review collection back on autopilot.
